Grayling_T0206 Puhinui March 2018.jpg

Henton Ambassador (Anamour/Distelfink) had success at his second only horse trial, taking second place in the 105 class. "Ben" to his friends, at only six, has been very lightly campaigned by Matthew Grayling, while allowing the large framed horse to mature, but is now ready to rise through the grades. Matthew is delighted with the young, inexperienced full brother to Henton Attorney General. Henton Ambassador is owned by Henton Lodge Hanoverians and we are very excited to follow, what we believe will be, an exceptional career.

HENTON CARTIER OUTSTANDING START TO HER CAREER

Meredith.jpg

Henton Cartier (Contendro I / Henton Ambiance by Anamour) had a very exciting start to the four year old mare's career, with a fourth place at her very first horse trial. With a lovely dressage and clear both cross country and show jumping this very well bred young lady surely turned heads - Contendro I is the current leading sire of event horses in Europe - Anamour is well know as a leading sire of dressage horses in New Zealand, so the perfect breeding for a top event horse. She was also very well behaved at her first show, at times in busy situations. We look forward to this lovely horse finding a new approved competitive home. Her career has only just started and she showed exceptional maturity and talent inherent to her world class breeding.

HENTON ARMANI PLACES AT FIRST THREE DAY EVENT

Henton Armani (Anamour / Distelfink) who is a much younger full brother to Henton Attorney General, recently competed at his first full three day event. Henton Armani (Harry to his friends) won the dressage phase of the event, went on to produce an outstanding, effortless cross country round in style and under time to retain the lead after two days. With the competition tight at the end of three days, an unfortunate one rail found him and his outstanding rider, Sophie Abbott, still with a podium finish. Henton Lodge owns the black six year old gelding and we are very much looking forward to his autumn season.

HENTON FIRST COUNSEL WINS AT HUNUA

Henton First Counsel (For Edition (frozen semen) / Dynamit / Distelfink / Crown Lease XX)and his brand new part owner, Olivia Montgomery, have been successful at their first horse trial at the lovely Hunua venue. Richie, as known to his friends, did an outstanding dressage test to be placed second, their show jumping was clear to see them hold second place overnight - behind one of New Zealand's professional riders, no mean feat considering Olivia is only 15 and Richie is quite young. Cross country day saw Richie and Olivia go fast and clear to take the first place. Henton Lodge wishes Olivia and Richie more successes going forward.
