DSE HENTON FOR GLORY ALMOST GETS 5 YEAR OLD TITLE

The five year old DSE Henton For Glory (For Edition / Escudo I / Distelfink / Crown Lease XX), most capably ridden by Donna Edwards-Smith, for a syndicate, narrowly missed out on the prestigious Five Year Old Show Jumping Title at the New Zealand Horse of the Year Show. Donna entered the young gelding, who has been lightly evented during the season, more for the experience at a very busy show, rather than with any thoughts of placing. However when he jumped the first round clear and in fine style, he was asked to step up in the second round. To the delight of the syndicate he finished second by a mere 1.4 seconds. Henton Lodge have remained as part of the syndicate for this exciting young horse and we wish Donna, Elise, Gaye and Sarah all the very best.
